Community

The Junior League of Grand Rapids is improving the state of children’s physical health in the Grand Rapids community with a multi-pronged approach that not only educates children and families about fitness and nutrition, but also increases access to safe play for those in need.

Over $40,000 is spent annually on our projects, including Kids in the Kitchen and the JL Wellness Adventure Yard. Grants are also awarded each year to nonprofits and events improving children’s physical health.  Past recipients include sHaPe Camp for adolescents interested in health professions and Camp Sparkle of Gilda’s Club for children impacted by cancer or grief.  If you are interested in applying for a grant, please fill out the following application.  Grants are reviewed annually in late spring.
