The Junior League of Grand Rapids is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
In 1925, JLGR began by a group of visionary women committed to serving the Grand Rapids community. Throughout our 90 year history, our 800+ members have continued to research community needs, identify problems and develop effective and responsive projects to address those issues.
Today, the same commitment to women and children continues with current JLGR projects aimed at improving children’s physical health, including our Kids in the Kitchen and JL Wellness Adventure Yard initiatives.
