The Junior League of Grand Rapids empowers women through leadership training and development to take action in the greater Grand Rapids area. By working together to build a better community, members build lasting friendships and also:
Acquire training for effective community leadership, including community research, fundraising, finance, leadership, public relations and personal development
Work with other women to create positive community changes.
Gain access to community leaders, new friends and creative ideas.
Increase exposure to unique strategies in problem solving and administration of a nonprofit organization.

How Do I Get Involved with the Junior League of Grand Rapids?
Recruitment for the Junior League of Grand Rapids takes place in September-October for the Fall class and February-March for the Spring. New Members will participate in a fun-filled and informational training program to educate them on the responsibilities and benefits of League membership. Through this, new members learn about the League, our projects and fundraisers, fulfill community service through their own service project and meet some amazing women. If you would like to meet some of our members and find out more about the JLGR, please plan on attending our Information Night at the Ottawa Tavern (151 Ottawa) on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at 7:00 PM. Informal meet & greet with a Junior League Grand Rapids overview, appetizer and soft drinks provided.
