Welcome!
Thank you for taking the time to learn about our dynamic organization,
the Junior League of Grand Rapids. Our mission statement is divided
into three powerful areas: Developing the Potential of Women, Promoting
Volunteerism, and Improving our Community.
In September 2009, we
kick off our 85th Anniversary with a yearlong celebration.
Our league has a rich history of creating programs and partnerships
throughout the Grand Rapids area. Several of the most successful nonprofit
programs were started by the Junior League of Grand Rapids.
We are
currently working on two main programs in Grand Rapids: St. John’s
Home and Boys & Girls Club of Grand Rapids Youth Commonwealth.
In addition, we offer a variety of “done in a day” opportunities
to our members. Please read about these exciting programs listed
under “In Action” on this site. On top of these programs, our league
continues to search for more opportunities to serve in our area as well
as lasting partnerships.
The league
is a place where women can make lifelong friendships while giving back
to the community. We strive to connect with one another and network
through monthly meetings, volunteer opportunities, and social events.
Our current active membership is 75 women and our sustainer membership
totals 250.
If you
are interested in learning more about membership in the league or supporting
us as a partner in our efforts, please contact our office, 451-0452
or jrleague@iserv.net .
